Reading Film Festival Night

We're rolling out the red carpet for our 1st annual Reading Film Festival night. Each grade level has created an awesome video relating to the theme of reading. The videos are absolutely precious. This is an event that you do not want to miss. The students will be presented with an award that night. The attire is semi-formal.

What: Reading Film Festival Night
When: April 22, 2010 @ 6:00 p.m.
Where: ASFL Gymnasium
Why: To showcase the students' creative videos/movies

Dinner will be served immediately following the program. It is going to be a great event! Please come out to support our school.

Teacher Appreciation Week

May 3-7 has been designated as National Teacher Appreciation Week. Information was e-mailed to you regarding how you may assist with the planned activities for the week. We especially need parent volunteers to assist in supervising students during the teacher luncheon on Wednesday, May 5 from 11:00 - 12:00. Please let us know if you can lend a hand. This is a wonderful opportunity to wrap up your volunteer hours for the year!

I also encourage you to do something special for your child's teacher this week. The teachers work extremely hard each and every day to ensure that your child receives a high-quality, first-class education. Let them know how much you appreciate their hard work.

K-2 Awards Day Program    May 24, 2010      9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
3-5 Awards Day Program     May 24, 2010     1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
6-7 Awards Day Program    May 25, 2010      1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
8th Grade Graduation           May 26, 2010      9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. (BBQ immediately following the program)
